# getSlot (gRPC)

Returns the current slot at a commitment level (default PROCESSED) over Dragon's Mouth gRPC (geyser.Geyser/GetSlot).

## Parameters

**`commitment`** · CommitmentLevel · optional

Commitment level for the query: `PROCESSED`, `CONFIRMED`, or `FINALIZED`. Defaults to `PROCESSED`.
