# Real-time streaming methods

Stream live Solana data over WebSocket subscriptions or Dragon's Mouth gRPC (Subscribe, SubscribeDeshred, and unary calls).

Two interfaces stream live updates; pick by transport and throughput:

| Interface             | Best for                                                                                                                       |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| WebSocket             | Solana WebSocket subscriptions to accounts, programs, logs, signatures, slots, roots, and blocks, plus `transactionSubscribe`. |
| gRPC (Dragon's Mouth) | High-throughput, backend-to-backend Geyser streaming of accounts, transactions, slots, blocks, and entries.                    |

On gRPC, [Deshred](/solana/rpc-methods/real-time-streaming/yellowstone-grpc/deshred.md) streams transactions reconstructed from shreds before the validator executes them.
