# getSignaturesForAsset

Returns the transaction signatures and instructions for a compressed NFT, by asset ID or by tree and leafIndex, with pagination and sortDirection.

## Parameters

| Name          | Description                                                             | Required            |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------- |
| id            | The unique identifier of the compressed asset.                          | or tree + leafIndex |
| tree          | The tree corresponding to the leaf.                                     | or id               |
| leafIndex     | The leaf index of the compressed asset.                                 | or id               |
| limit         | The maximum number of signatures to retrieve, up to 1000 (the default). | No                  |
| page          | The index of the "page" to retrieve, starting at 1.                     | No                  |
| sortDirection | `"desc"` (the default, newest first) or `"asc"`.                        | No                  |

Pass either `id` or both `tree` and `leafIndex`. Each entry in `items` is a `[signature, instruction]` pair. `getSignaturesForAsset` is an alias of `getAssetSignatures`.
