# Common Solana errors

Common Solana JSON-RPC error codes with fixes.

## Common Solana JSON-RPC codes

This is a standard list of common JSON-RPC error codes you may experience. For a comprehensive list, please refer to [Anza's kit repository](https://github.com/anza-xyz/kit).

| Code     | Error                                                                                     | What to do                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             |
| -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `-32001` | Block cleaned up (`BLOCK_CLEANED_UP`)                                                     | The node no longer holds that block. Request a slot at or after the first available block given in the error message.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  |
| `-32002` | Transaction preflight failure (`SEND_TRANSACTION_PREFLIGHT_FAILURE`)                      | The transaction failed simulation before it was sent. Read the simulation logs in the error's `data` field, fix the transaction, and resend.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           |
| `-32003` | Transaction signature verification failure (`TRANSACTION_SIGNATURE_VERIFICATION_FAILURE`) | Verify the keypair, rebuild the transaction with a current blockhash and sign it immediately before submission, check the signatures format, and simulate first.                                                                                                                                                                                                       |
| `-32015` | Unsupported transaction version (`UNSUPPORTED_TRANSACTION_VERSION`)                       | Retry with the `maxSupportedTransactionVersion` parameter set to the version the error message names (for example, `1`, since mainnet blocks now carry v1 transactions). With `maxSupportedTransactionVersion` set to `1` or higher, `base58` encoding (and its legacy alias `binary`) isn't supported and fails with `-32602`; use `json`, `jsonParsed`, or `base64`. |
| `-32601` | Method not found                                                                          | The method you are trying to use is either invalid or does not exist. Check the method name. Methods that Triton disables return HTTP `410` instead; see [Triton RPC error codes](/solana/faq/error-handling/triton-rpc-error-codes.md).                                                                                                                               |
| `-32602` | Invalid method parameter(s)                                                               | Double-check your request format against Solana's JSON-RPC spec.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       |
| `-32603` | Internal JSON-RPC error                                                                   | Retry the request after a short delay. On `sendTransaction`, Triton returns this code with `transaction simulation transient error` or `transaction simulation unavailable` when it couldn't run the preflight simulation; retry the send.                                                                                                                             |
| `-32700` | Parse error                                                                               | The server couldn't parse your request body as JSON. Check your JSON structure. Triton returns this error with HTTP `200`.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             |

### Port exhaustion in NodeJS

Suppose you're running high-throughput asynchronous loads in a NodeJS environment. In that case, you might find yourself getting persistent socket and connection errors such as: `ECONNREFUSED`, `ECONNRESET`, Connection Timeout Error, other side closed, fetch failed.
