# Solana dedicated nodes

Single-tenant bare-metal Solana nodes for Dragon's Mouth gRPC streaming: when to choose dedicated over shared, regions, ordering, and billing.

Dedicated nodes give you isolated capacity for gRPC streaming, with no noisy neighbors. The monthly price of a standard node includes Dragon's Mouth gRPC streaming. Other services, including WebSocket, are billed separately, per usage.

On request, we can also provision other single-purpose clusters (for example, a dedicated DAS or a custom indexing cluster) or enable Geyser plugins. Mixed-purpose nodes (e.g. JSON-RPC + gRPC streaming) are not offered.

## Use cases

* **Sustained gRPC streaming** at high volume, where a fixed price is a priority.
* **Heavy indexing workloads** (DAS/History, on request) that require full, uncontended throughput.
* **Latency-sensitive backends** that require colocation with the data source for predictable speed and low jitter.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Don't use it for front-ends, dashboards, or standard JSON-RPC reads. Use shared infrastructure endpoints for these workloads.
{% endhint %}

Compare your monthly streaming cost with a node's fixed price on the [pricing page](https://triton.one/pricing). For how shared and dedicated billing works, see [Plans and billing](/account-and-billing/plans-and-billing.md#shared-or-dedicated).

{% hint style="info" %}
Pair a dedicated node with shared endpoints: dedicated for gRPC streaming, shared for JSON-RPC and transaction sending.

## Getting started

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Talk to us

Reach out through [contact sales](https://triton.one/contact), and we'll talk through your options with you.

<a href="https://triton.one/contact" class="button primary" data-icon="briefcase">Contact sales</a>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Scope your node

After learning your streaming volume and preferred region, we'll agree on the specs and the number of nodes to deploy.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Provisioning

Hardware is ordered to spec and set up as a dedicated subscription in your [customer dashboard](https://customers.triton.one).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Connect

Your node has its own endpoint, listed in the [customer dashboard](https://customers.triton.one), for example `https://<your-endpoint>.mainnet.rpcpool.com`. Point your gRPC client at it, and you're good to go!
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Best practices

* **Put your Dragon's Mouth gRPC traffic on the dedicated endpoint.** gRPC streams on a shared endpoint are metered, which defeats the point of a fixed-price node.
* **Run your backend close to the node.** gRPC streams are backend-to-backend, so keeping both in the same region reduces latency.
* **Filter to cut volume.** Server-side filters (skip votes, restrict to the accounts and programs you care about) reduce the bandwidth you pull and help you stay on the chain tip under load. See [streaming best practices](/solana/real-time-streaming/best-practices.md).
