# txpool\_statusByHash

Return the transaction-pool status for a given transaction hash.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type   | Required | Description                             |
| --------- | ------ | -------- | --------------------------------------- |
| `hash`    | string | Yes      | 32-byte transaction hash (hex-encoded). |

## Response

Returns the transaction's pool status: `unknown`, `tracked`, `dropped`, `evicted`, or `committed`. A dropped or evicted transaction also has a `reason`. If the pool doesn't know the hash, the call returns an `Unknown tx hash` error.

**Each node answers from its own transaction pool.** On the shared Monad pool, requests are not tied to a node, so a call can reach a node that did not receive the transaction and return `Unknown tx hash`. To check whether a transaction was included in a block, use [eth\_getTransactionReceipt](/monad/rpc-methods/eth/eth_gettransactionreceipt.md).
