# eth\_createAccessList

Generates an access list for a transaction.

## Parameters

| Parameter     | Type               | Required | Description |
| ------------- | ------------------ | -------- | ----------- |
| `Transaction` | GenericTransaction | Yes      |             |
| `Block`       | BlockNumberOrTag   | No       |             |

## Response

Returns the access list and the gas used. If execution fails, for example by reverting, running out of gas or violating the reserve balance, the result also has an `error` field. Other failures return a JSON-RPC error.
