# debug\_traceTransaction

Replay a transaction and return execution traces using the given tracer.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type   | Required | Description                                                                                |
| --------- | ------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `tx_hash` | string | Yes      | 32-byte transaction hash (hex-encoded).                                                    |
| `tracer`  | object | No       | Tracer configuration object. Defaults to `callTracer`; `prestateTracer` is also supported. |

## Response

With `callTracer`, the transaction's call frame, including nested `calls`.
