# debug\_traceBlockByHash

Replay a block by hash and return execution traces using the given tracer.

## Parameters

| Parameter    | Type   | Required | Description                                                                                                                                 |
| ------------ | ------ | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `block_hash` | string | Yes      | 32-byte block hash (hex-encoded).                                                                                                           |
| `tracer`     | object | No       | Tracer configuration: `tracer` (string) and optional `tracerConfig` (object). Defaults to `callTracer`; `prestateTracer` is also supported. |

## Response

With `callTracer`, an array with one entry per transaction in the block: its hash and its call frame.
